Amazing Money-Making Secret Of A 28-year-old Convicted Felon Who Earns More Money Per Year Than The CEOs Of FedEx, eBay(R), Amazon, Time Warner, Apple

Amazing Money-Making Secret Of A 28-year-old Convicted Felon Who Earns More Money Per Year Than The CEOs Of FedEx, eBay(R), Amazon, Time Warner, Apple Computer, McDonalds, Microsoft, Nike, Yahoo, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, And Goodyear Combined

Below is the opening part of his story==>>

I was born in northern New Jersey on January 23rd, 1974.

I grew-up poor- single parent household. I think I had some sort of learning disability, because as a child, I could not retain anything I learned in school. I'd study like hell for an upcoming test... but as soon as I finished reading a chapter in my school book... I couldn't remember what I just read. It would not penetrate into my brain. It was extremely discouraging, so I gave up. I failed everything... even P.E. class.

I finally dropped out in the 10th grade. Nobody seemed to mind.

No matter how hard I tried, it always seemed like I wasn't going to amount to anything real important in life. And this really sucked because I had a passion for the finer things. I wanted the gold Rolex, the sporty Mercedes, and the Million-Dollar Mega Mansion!

But when I looked in the mirror, I didn't like what I saw. I was convinced the good life I wanted was just a dream.

But that was all about to change. Seriously- by the time I was 19, I had a brand-new Corvette. At 20, I had 2 brand-new Mercedes Benz automobiles. And at 21, I was the proud owner of a Rolls Royce Silver Spur!

By the time I turned 28... I made over $100 Million in gross sales. I profited over $50 Million. I owned two homes- one of them was 14,000 square feet and had a seven-car garage, a billiards room and a resort-style pool with an underwater bar! And I paid cash for the home!

In my garage, I had a red Lamborghini Diablo, a yellow Ferrari 360 Spider, a white Bentley Arnage Red Label, about 4 Mercedes, and a 12-passenger Lincoln Town Car Limo!

My checking account had over $10 Million in it. I was earning $400,000 in pay each and every week. That breaks down to $80,000 a day... or $10,000 an hour! And those figures were if I worked 5 days a week for eight hours a day, which I didn't!

In the year 2002, I made more money than the CEOs of Federal Express... eBay... Amazon.com... Time Warner... Apple Computer... McDonalds... Microsoft... Nike... Yahoo... Ford Motor Company... General Motors... and Goodyear Tire- COMBINED!

Yes-COMBINED.

In the May 12th, 2003 issue, Forbes Magazine listed their top paid 500 CEOs in America. Of their prominent and prestigious list of the 500 CEOs, I made more money than 483 of them.

$17,549,000 MORE than the CEO of Starbucks.

$13,030,000 MORE than the CEO of Target.

$17,225,000 MORE than the CEO of Motorola.

Now, this may all seem like I'm some rich idiot bragging about how rich I am... and you're partly correct. I am bragging! But more importantly, the reason why I'm telling you about all this is that this course is about getting rich very quickly. If the talk of obscene money makes you feel uncomfortable, or even angers you, maybe you do not really want to be rich.

The reason why I'm telling you about all the toys I had when I was just 28, is to prove to you that if an guy like me... with a learning disability... a bad childhood... and no formal education can get filthy rich by the time I was 28... you can absolutely follow in my footsteps and build yourself your very own empire of wealth!

Wealth Mind-Set and Great Poker Players

Wealth Mind-Set and Great Poker Players

At first glance, a wealth mind-set would seem to be completely unrelated to poker, right? Wrong! Never is a wealth mind-set more important than in activities that involve money or success in any form.

What is a wealth mind-set, anyway?

Most often the term refers to a consistent expectation of wealth and success. To better clarify this concept, let us consider people who obviously have this type of mind-set.

Have you ever known people who seem to be naturally lucky? Perhaps they frequently win money and prizes in contests, lotteries, and sweepstakes; or they constantly seem to get offered great opportunities, jobs and other forms of good fortune effortlessly.

Have you ever wondered how they do it?

Ironically, "luck" has nothing to do with it. Not in the sense that we usually think of luck anyway. Rather, this type of person undoubtedly has what we would call a wealth mind-set. They EXPECT wealth. They expect to win. They expect to succeed in whatever they do. And more often than not, they do!

Let's use another example. Imagine that you are observing two men who apply for the same great job. One of them is very confident that he's the man for the job. He knows that he has a lot to offer the company and that confidence shines through during his interview. After the interview, he knows he aced it. He believes he's going to get the job.

The other guy isn't quite so confident. He really wants the job, but in his head are all kinds of negative thoughts: "Things never work out for me, so I shouldn't get my hopes up. I'm probably not the best candidate they'll interview." As a result of these thoughts, he's more restrained and nervous during his interview. He stumbles over his answers and worries what the interviewer is thinking of him. Afterwards, he agonizes over his answers and thinks, "I screwed it up; they'll never hire me now."

No big surprise that the first guy will probably get the job! And it's NOT just about confidence, either! It's about EXPECTATION.

Which personality type do you most resemble? Do you expect great things to happen to you? Do you expect to win and succeed at whatever you do? Or do you doubt yourself and get caught up in negative thinking and expectation of problems?

Can you see how this applies heavily to the game of poker? Developing a wealth mind-set is crucial if you want to be a great poker player. The good news is that it isn't hard to do at all. Here's how:

1) Expect good in all you do.

Believe it or not, negative thinking isn't "all in your head." It actually seeps out and colors everything you do. If you believe you can't be successful, if you believe you'll never be a great poker player, you'll act in ways that bring exactly that result. On the other hand, if you expect to master the game, expect to play well, expect to win - guess what is more likely to happen?

2) Affirm constantly that you are blessed with good fortune.

Expectations are often intangible and hard to grasp, so to help solidify these concepts in your mind, get into the habit of speaking aloud your expectations of success. Say things like this: "I'm feeling really lucky today! Great things are going to happen to me today, I just know it! I'm going to play my best game ever tonight," and so on. Say them over and over again until you really believe them. It will take a little time to really absorb the messages but eventually you will, and you will find your "luck" changing for the better.

3) Refuse to entertain doubt and disbelief.

Understand that doubts are completely normal when you first begin developing a wealth mind-set. You're not used to thinking this way, so of course it's going to feel strange and you might be tempted to give up. Don't do it! Anything worthwhile will take a bit of effort and you'll be pleased to find that when you refuse to entertain doubts and disbelief, they have no choice but to fade away.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad

Rich Dad, Poor Dad

Personal finance author and lecturer Robert Kiyosaki developed his unique economic perspective through exposure to a pair of disparate influences: his own highly educated, but fiscally unstable father, and the multimillionaire eighth-grade dropout father of his closest friend. The lifelong monetary problems experienced by his "poor dad" (whose weekly paychecks, while respectable, were never quite sufficient to meet family needs) pounded home the counterpoint communicated by his "rich dad" (that "the poor and the middle class work for money," but "the rich have money work for them"). Taking that message to heart, Kiyosaki was able to retire at 47. Rich Dad Poor Dad, written with consultant and CPA Sharon L. Lechter, lays out his the philosophy behind his relationship with money. Although Kiyosaki can take a frustratingly long time to make his points, his book is nonetheless a compelling advocate for the type of "financial literacy" that's never taught in schools. Based on the principle that income-generating assets always provide healthier bottom-line results than even the best of traditional jobs, it explains how the former might be acquired so that the latter eventually can be shed. --Howard Rothman, Amazon.com --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

The Law of Attraction and the Ultradian Rest Response

Few things are as important to ‘attraction’ (or rather your act of ‘creation’) as what some scientists call the ‘ultradian rest response’. You may have never heard of this before, but it’s one of the keys to bringing about in your life what you want to see.

You see, there is a great difference between ‘thinking’ and ‘knowing’. Thinking is a purely intellectual activity. It mainly takes place as electrochemical processes in your body and brain

‘Knowing’ on the other hand, transcends intellect. It is what is often called ‘intuition’. Intuition is often defined as ‘immediate knowing’, without the conscious use of reasoning. There is no sequence of thoughts following up on each other leading to an outcome. It’s just there, instantly. Bang! You suddenly get it.

“Aha!”

It appears to be stemming from a whole different source of awareness compared to the ‘rational mind’ or intellect that we tend to use so much in our lives.

In our modern societies, we find ourselves under so much pressure to ignore intuition and to rationalize everything that happens. We’d rather go with our ‘heads’ than go with our ‘hearts’. We learn that from an early age in our education system, which puts the main focus on the left part of the brain, the intellectual and analytical part.

As a consequence, if you’re like most people, you tend to ‘overrationalize’ everything. You regularly get the feeling that you want to do something, and it really makes your heart sing. But then your intellect rears its ugly head, and suppresses the ‘intuitive knowing’ you just experienced by using the limiting thoughts and emotions that have been dominating your being and thinking for long. You start to think and feel things like:

“Oh dear, who am I to think I can do that?”
“Oh my, what will my mother say?”
“Goodness, what will the boys at the bar think if I do that?”
“Dear me, my parents will get angry for not doing something with my education…”
“That can’t be right. Scientists say that this is not true. Who am I to think otherwise?”

Thoughts like this have ruled most people for all their lives and forced them into submission. The repetition that has been going on for years has created ‘habits’ to go with the ‘head’ all the time instead of the ‘heart’. The moment

you have intuitive knowing and your heart starts to sing, you immediately begin to doubt it and you’re pulled back into line.

“I can’t do that, it’s not responsible. What about my job?”
“I’d love to do this, but…”
“If I could ever do this… Nah, I can’t do that. I must have gone mad.”
“What will the neighbours think?”

You’re systematically pulled in line, back to the image of artificially imposed norms of what ‘society’ or others think you are supposed to be. It is ignoring the deepest core of yourself, and the intelligence of the magnitude that you are deep inside.

When you look at it this way, it’s not a surprise that your intuition is often at odds with what you think. The intuitive knowing stems from a source that has a much greater overview, the bigger picture. It sees what the ‘knowing’ and associated action will lead to. The rational intellect always has a limited perspective that is quite likely even coloured by societal and religious ‘norms’, or ‘bad memories’ of certain events, which itself are often limited interpretations of what were actually stepping stones into a whole new reality.

Ernest Rossi, Ph.D., is an internationally renowned psychotherapist, teacher, and pioneer in the field of mind/body healing. In his book The Psychobiology of Mind/Body Healing, he describes how during an ultradian rest response your body goes into a mode that makes you more receptive to the unconscious parts of your being:

“This is the time when it is easiest to access our own intuition, your own internal imagery. Thoughts are most likely to be closer to the unconscious. This is a time when the unconscious wants all the energy it can get. If you train yourself to just watch and observe and not intrude, you are going to fall into what is called ‘reverie’ or ‘hypnagogic state’, what I call its more naturally intuitive state.”

So when do you ‘know’ instead of just ‘think’? How can you distinguish? Well, it’s largely a feeling, but Dr. Laurie Nadel gives you some hints in her book Sixth Sense: Unlocking Your Ultimate Mind Power:

“Do you find yourself losing concentration during certain times of the day? Perhaps it comes as a sudden touch of fatigue, or a subtle mental fuzziness. All of a sudden, you feel droopy. Your eyes may tear. You can’t stop yawning, or you sigh.Maybe you find yourself staring out the window, your mind far away from the tasks at hand. If somebody speaks to you, you find yourself startled by the sound of his voice. Or you don’t understand what was said the first time and ask the speaker to repeat himself.”

According to Dr. Nadel, these are signs that your body is entering the ultradian rest response. At times that this occurs, your body is most attuned to your intuition, as the four main regulatory systems of your body (endocrine system, autonomic nervous system, immune system and neuropeptides in your brain) align to the unconscious, greater levels of yourself.

The clearest memory that comes to mind of experiencing an ultradian rest response myself was during a final math exam back in high school. I had trouble with one of the questions and finally drooped away. It was like I temporarily switched to the realms of ‘no-time’, staring out of the window without being conscious of what was happening around me. Then suddenly some kind of realization kicked in, and I suddenly knew how to get on my way of solving the question that I didn’t seem to understand at first.

This is not something uncommon. Everyone experiences this all the time, probably daily. The trick is to recognize it. Even some of the greatest minds in modern history accepted the importance of intuition: “The only real valuable thing is intuition.” – Albert Einstein

“It is by logic that we prove, but by intuition that we discover.” Henri Poincaré (one of France’s greatest mathematicians and theoretical physicists)

According to Dr. Nagel, ignoring the signals of the ultradian rest response or trying to suppress them can cause you to become irritable, uncomfortable, and even depressed. However, she emphasizes that if you allow them and flow with them, they can be moments of great inspiration. Here’s what she says:

“This is the best time to take a break rather than forcing yourself to push through the fatigue. You can think of it as your intuition break, time to take a deep breath, close your eyes, and allow impressions from your intuitive right hemisphere [right brain] to flow through your mind. You are working on a project and would like help from your intuition, this is the time to ask for it. It is also a good time to meditate.”

Meditation is not a must. All you need to do is trust your intuition and listen to your inspirations. True enough, you are blessed with an intellectual mind too. But it shouldn’t dominate your intuitive knowing and suppress it.

The thing is that ‘attraction’ doesn’t happen like things just falling out of the sky right on your lap. It often works through inspirations to do something or go somewhere. Your inspirations and hunches point you towards things you can do to bring about the changes in your life that you desire.

Ignore them, and you won’t ‘attract’ what you want. But follow along with them, and magic happens.

And finally, always realize this… ‘Intuitive knowing’ can be unique to the knower, which is you. What may feel good for you, doesn’t have to feel good for others. Everyone is unique. You will be inspired to do something that is best for you, and that matches what you want. That can be totally different from anyone else. Besides, not everyone wants the same thing, at least if everyone would follow their true ‘wants’, not the ‘wants’ imposed by the image of what others think you should want.

No one should judge or ridicule what another feels is good for him or her, as long as the person never seeks to impose anything on anyone else. That is the freedom of life we need, that will change everyone’s life radically, and the whole world with it.

Gotta go now. I feel an ultradian rest response coming in…

The Universal Laws and The Universal Law of Bollocks

The Universal Laws and The Universal Law of Bollocks

These days you can hardly go through any articles, books, DVDs, movies, films, documentaries with regard to self-improvement or self-help without coming across at least one mentioning of some ‘Universal Law’. Suddenly, there appears to be a Universal Law for anything. Like we haven’t got enough Laws to deal with already!

There is truth to these ‘Universal Laws’, but in most cases, a little nuance is in place. Please read along, as the remainder of this article will clear it all up.

There are Universal Laws that guide your life behind the scenes of ‘physical reality’. These are actually rather ‘universal principles of life’. That would be a more appropriate qualification.

However, the qualification of ‘Universal Law’ has taken on a life of its own. The word ‘Law’ appears to be a magic word… Almost a magic wand that casts a spell on anyone who reads it that puts them in a hypnotized state thinking that what it says must be true. After all, it’s a ‘Law’ isn’t it? A ‘Law’ is always right. No more thinking required.

Today, subjects like the ‘Law of Attraction’ are at an all-time high of popularity. We’ve got the movie ‘The Secret’ and a whole big bunch of people trying to leverage on it by proclaiming themselves as ‘experts in the field of the Law of Attraction’, or ‘masters of attraction’. Yes, there’s that magic word (wand) again.

And simply because people seem to like ‘Universal Laws’, every now and then a new ‘Universal Law’ makes its entrance. People come up with new ‘Universal Laws’ all the time. And likewise, new ‘experts on the Law of Attraction’ and ‘masters of attraction’ proclaim themselves every day.

Yet despite so many people having seen the movie ‘The Secret’ and knowing about the Law of Attraction, there is only a very, very small number of people who are actually living the life of their dreams, or ‘attracting their desires’, or ‘manifesting their dreams’. Yes those are some other ‘magic words’ from today’s common terminology.

How come? How come, with all that knowledge, with all those ‘Universal Laws’ already written and told about, and with all those new ‘Universal Laws’, ‘Spiritual Laws of the Universe’, ‘Subsidiary Laws’ and so on coming about each and every day on the Internet and elsewhere… How come that all the people buying those books, DVDs, movies, films, documentaries, and so on, are still not ‘attracting their desires’ or ‘manifesting their dreams’?

I’ll tell you why. Most people have heard something about it, but have no real knowledge about the matter. They are aware of the fact that there are ‘Universal Laws’, or rather ‘universal principles of life’ that work behind the scenes and guide the courses of their lives.

However, most people have lost track, because so many who think they know what they’re talking about (while they don’t) come up with these new ‘Universal Laws’ all the time. There may be some truth to all these different ‘Universal Laws’. But what they really do for genuine seekers for the truth like yourself is not much more than making things way too difficult and complex to apply.

And if that isn’t enough already, often another big problem comes up when you start reading about the ‘Law of Attraction’ and the ‘Laws of the Universe’. The ‘experts’ who speak or write about them tend to do that in such an overly symbolic fashion, that few well-thinking people can make any practical sense of it. What you find is nothing but ‘enigmas wrapped in riddles’.

Listen, there are universal principles of life. ‘Universal Laws’ if you will. However, when it comes to applying them to your advantage, we are in desperate need for some clarity.

Let me show you what I mean. I can come up with hundreds of ‘Universal Laws’ if I want. Here’s a couple of them…

ü Introducing the Universal Law of Ping Pong
It says you have to use ping pong balls if you want to play table tennis.

ü Introducing the Universal Law of Rain
It says that when it rains, things get wet.

Disappointing, eh? But they did sound interesting at first, right?

See what’s happening here? The mere qualification of ‘Universal Law’ makes the statement sound interesting already, while the true deeper meaning of the ‘Universal Law’ is nothing more than a standard, blindingly obvious platitude.

So let me give you another Universal Law right now, to satisfy your probably insatiable need (or so you may think) for knowledge of all ‘Universal Laws’ to improve your life, ‘attract your desires’, and ‘manifest your dreams’ once and for all:

Introducing the Universal Law of Bollocks
It says that it’s all bollocks.

That’s right, it’s all bollocks. Bollocks! There are universal principles guiding your life. If you want, you can call them ‘Universal Laws’. I’ve done so in my books and articles, because that’s what people are looking for these days. If I would apply other terminology, people would never even be looking at it. Simply because they think they need ‘Laws’.

But it’s all bollocks, because before this whole game we call ‘human life’ started, we didn’t get an instruction manual on how life was supposed to be lived. We didn’t get a Code of Law full of ‘thou shalt nots’. The purpose of the whole thing was to find out the universal principles and realize that through applying these principles, YOU can have full control over whatever it is you want to create. The purpose of the whole thing was to find out that the world ‘outside’ is only a mirror showing what’s going on ‘inside’. All this time, the whole thing has been about finding out that you create your reality experience yourself.

Yes, that’s right, you ‘create’, which is much more than ‘attracting’. But that’s something you’ll discover as you get more experienced in the conscious living of your life and in the engineering your own success by applying the true and simple universal principles of life.

Or yes, ‘Laws’ if you will.

What you call ‘good’ and ‘bad’ are qualifications of your own. You are the one who deems things to be ‘good’ or ‘bad’. That’s merely a judgment from your individual perspective. When you’re not satisfied with your reality experience, you need to create something else that you are satisfied with.

For many, this is where the Law of Attraction comes in. According to most, this one states that what you focus your thoughts on becomes your reality. There’s truth to this statement, but there’s more to the story. Positive thinking and visualizing aren’t going to cut it. There are certain boundary conditions to take into account, certain ‘universal principles of life’. Without attending to these conditions, your attraction efforts will be sabotaged. And this is exactly what most people who have seen ‘The Secret’ and have tried to put the ‘Law of Attraction’ into practice are experiencing.

But the last thing you need are instructions that are either overly symbolic, or too complex to apply. What you want to keep things simple and straightforward. Or else you may get lost in the details. You want just enough straightforward knowledge for simple application of the principles, while still having a total view on the big picture that is comprehensive enough to not forget about any universal principle, or Law for that matter.

If you want to make life simple for yourself, to start pulling the right strings at once to create the life and destiny of your dreams, then don’t waste another second on trying to find out every small, detailed, insignificant ‘Universal Law’ someone came up with today. You’ll be like a cat chasing its own tail: a never-ending story that leaves you exhausted and depressed.

Neither should you merely think positive thoughts and then wait for things to happen. There’s a little more to it. Just a little, nothing complex, but still extremely important.

Just keep it simple. There are 6 main Universal Principles (or Laws) that cover all universal principles automatically. Attend to them all, which is a simple thing to do without much effort required, and you’ll be off living more than your dreams before you can even consciously realize you created such an incredible experience!

Keep it straightforward and easy-to-apply. The game of life wasn’t intended to be complex and difficult. The game was supposed to be simple and easy, and most of all FUN!

And there’s a simple road to it, and it’s just a small decision away.

Welcome to the Revolution.

Nicholas P. Kidd and Henk J.M. Schram are the instigators of the alleged ‘Great Revolution’, which provides the members with truthful instructions regarding the universal principles of life.

The Revolution is receiving increasingly widespread attention for its straightforward explanations and instructions with regard to complex issues, which are made understandable for people from all walks of life. In essence, the true secrets of the ‘Law of Attraction’ and the other ‘Universal Laws’ are explained in much clearer and practical ways than the 'enigmas wrapped in riddles' that usually characterize the descriptions of the Law of Attraction and its application.

Setting Your Goals - Easier Said, Easily Done

The basics of setting a goal is an open secret known by top-caliber athletes, successful businessmen and businesswomen and all types of achievers in all the different fields. The basics of setting goals give you short-term and long-term motivation and focus. They help you set focus on the acquisition of required knowledge and help you to plan and organize your resources and your time so that you can get the best out of your life.

Setting clearly defined short term and long term goals will enable you to measure your progress and achieve personal satisfaction once you have successfully met your goals. Charting your progress will also enable you to actually see the stages of completion leading to the actual realization of your goals. This eliminates the feeling of a long and pointless grind towards achieving your goal. Your self-confidence and level of competence will also improve as you will be more aware of your capabilities as you complete or achieve your goals.

The basics of goal settings will involve deciding what you really want to do with your personal life and what short term and long term goals you need to achieve it. Then you have to break down goals into the smaller and manageable targets that you must complete in your way to achieving your lifetime targets. Once you have your list waste no time in tackling your goals.

A good way to have a manageable list is to have a daily and weekly set of goals. By doing this you will be always in the position of going towards you life plan goals. Everyday will give you the opportunity to fulfill a certain goal giving you the feeling of accomplishment.

Here are some pointers that should be taken into consideration in setting goals and achieving them.

Attitude plays a very big role in setting and achieving your goals. You must ask yourself if any part of you or your mind holding you back towards completing your simplest goals? If there are any part of your behavior that is being a hindrance or puts your plans into disarray? If you do have problems in these areas then the immediate thing to do is to address this problem. Solutions may include a visit to a doctor or psychiatrist to control your emotions.

Careers are made by good time management practice. Failing in a career is often attributed to bad time management. Careers require a lot from an individual which often makes the career the life of the individual. Plan how far do you want to go into your career.

Education is key in achieving your goals. If your goals require you to have a certain kind of degree or require a certain specialization or demand a certain skill to be developed, make plans in getting the appropriate education.

Your family should never be left out of your plans. If you are just starting out then you have to decide if you want to be a parent or when you want to be a parent. You also have to know if you really would be a good parent and how well would you relate to extended family members

Personal financial situations also play a major role in achieving your goals. Have a realistic goal on how much you really want to earn. You also must be able to create plans or stages by which you will be able to reach your earning potential.

Physically gifted individuals may be able to achieve sports related goals like being in the National Basketball association or National Football League. Determining your physical capabilities should be one of your priorities. Physical limitations could however be conquered with proper planning.

As the saying goes -'All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy', or something to that effect, is by all means true down to the last the letter. Giving yourself a little pleasure: should be included into your plans.

To start achieving your lifetime goals, set a quarter of a century plan, then break it down to 5 year plans then break it down again to 1 year plans, then 6 month plans then monthly plans, then weekly, then daily.

Then create a things-to-do list for the day.

Always review your plans and prepare for contingencies.

The basics of goal settings should not be so difficult once you get to be familiar with them.

UNLOCK YOUR SELF IMPROVEMENT POWER

When we look at a certain object, a painting for example – we won’t be able to appreciate what’s in it, what is painted and what else goes with it if the painting is just an inch away from our face. But if we try to take it a little further, we’ll have a clearer vision of the whole art work.

We reach a point in our life when we are ready for change and a whole bunch of information that will help us unlock our self improvement power. Until then, something can be staring us right under our nose but we don’t see it. The only time we think of unlocking our self improvement power is when everything got worst. Take the frog principle for example –

Try placing Frog A in a pot of boiling water. What happens? He twerps! He jumps off! Why? Because he is not able to tolerate sudden change in his environment – the water’s temperature. Then try Frog B: place him in a luke warm water, then turn the gas stove on. Wait til the water reaches a certain boiling point. Frog B then thinks “Ooh… it’s a bit warm in here”.

People are like Frog B in general. Today, Anna thinks Carl hates her. Tomorrow, Patrick walks up to her and told her he hates her. Anna stays the same and doesn’t mind her what her friends says. The next day, she learned that Kim and John also abhors her. Anna doesn’t realize at once the importance and the need for self improvement until the entire community hates her.

We learn our lessons when we experience pain. We finally see the warning signs and signals when things get rough and tough. When do we realize that we need to change diets? When none of our jeans and shirts would fit us. When do we stop eating candies and chocolates? When all of our teeth has fallen off. When do we realize that we need to stop smoking? When our lungs have gone bad. When do we pray and ask for help? When we realize that we’re gonna die tomorrow.

The only time most of us ever learn about unlocking our self improvement power is when the whole world is crashing and falling apart. We think and feel this way because it is not easy to change. But change becomes more painful when we ignore it.

Change will happen, like it or hate it. At one point or another, we are all going to experience different turning points in our life – and we are all going to eventually unlock our self improvement power not because the world says so, not because our friends are nagging us, but because we realized its for our own good.

Happy people don’t just accept change, they embrace it. Now, you don’t have to feel a tremendous heat before realizing the need for self improvement. Unlocking your self improvement power means unlocking yourself up in the cage of thought that “its just the way I am”. It is such a poor excuse for people who fear and resist change. Most of us program our minds like computers.

Jen repeatedly tells everyone that she doesn’t have the guts to be around groups of people. She heard her mom, her dad, her sister, her teacher tell the same things about her to other people. Over the years, that is what Jen believes. She believes its her story. And what happens? Every time a great crowd would troop over their house, in school, and in the community – she tends to step back, shy away and lock herself up in a room. Jen didn’t only believed in her story, she lived it.

Jen has to realize that she is not what she is in her story. Instead of having her story post around her face for everyone to remember, she has to have the spirit and show people “I am an important person and I should be treated accordingly!”

Self improvement may not be everybody’s favorite word, but if we look at things in a different point of view, we might have greater chances of enjoying the whole process instead of counting the days until we are fully improved. Three sessions in a week at the gym would result to a healthier life, reading books instead of looking at porns will shape up a more profound knowledge, going out with friends and peers will help you take a step back from work and unwind. And just when you are enjoying the whole process of unlocking your self improvement power, you’ll realize that you’re beginning to take things light and become happy.

Life is About Choices and the Decisions We Make

Life is About Choices and the Decisions We Make

Life is like a road. There are long and short roads; smooth and rocky roads; crooked and straight paths. In our life many roads would come our way as we journey through life. There are roads that lead to a life of single blessedness, marriage, and religious vocation. There are also roads that lead to fame and fortune on one hand, or isolation and poverty on the other. There are roads to happiness as there are roads to sadness, roads towards victory and jubilation, and roads leading to defeat and disappointment.

Just like any road, there are corners, detours, and crossroads in life. Perhaps the most perplexing road that you would encounter is a crossroad. With four roads to choose from and with limited knowledge on where they would go, which road will you take? What is the guarantee that we would choose the right one along the way? Would you take any road, or just stay where you are: in front of a crossroad?

There are no guarantees.

You do not really know where a road will lead you until you take it. There are no guarantees. This is one of the most important things you need to realize about life. Nobody said that choosing to do the right thing all the time would always lead you to happiness. Loving someone with all your heart does not guarantee that it would be returned. Gaining fame and fortune does not guarantee happiness. Accepting a good word from an influential superior to cut your trip short up the career ladder is not always bad, especially if you are highly qualified and competent. There are too many possible outcomes, which your really cannot control. The only thing you have power over is the decisions that you will make, and how you would act and react to different situations.

Wrong decisions are always at hindsight.

Had you known that you were making a wrong decision, would you have gone along with it? Perhaps not, why would you choose a certain path when you know it would get you lost? Why make a certain decision if you knew from the very beginning that it is not the right one. It is only after you have made a decision and reflected on it that you realize its soundness. If the consequences or outcomes are good for you, then you have decided correctly. Otherwise, your decision was wrong.

Take the risk: decide.

Since life offers no guarantee and you would never know that your decision would be wrong until you have made it, then you might as well take the risk and decide. It is definitely better than keeping yourself in limbo. Although it is true that one wrong turn could get you lost, it could also be that such a turn could be an opportunity for an adventure, moreover open more roads. It is all a matter of perspective. You have the choice between being a lost traveller or an accidental tourist of life. But take caution that you do not make decisions haphazardly. Taking risks is not about being careless and stupid. Here are some pointers that could help you choose the best option in the face of life’s crossroads:
· Get as many information as you can about your situation.

You cannot find the confidence to decide when you know so little about what you are faced with. Just like any news reporter, ask the 5 W’s: what, who, when, where, and why. What is the situation? Who are the people involved? When did this happen? Where is this leading? Why are you in this situation? These are just some of the possible questions to ask to know more about your situation. This is important. Oftentimes, the reason for indecision is the lack of information about a situation.

· Identify and create options.

What options do the situation give you? Sometimes the options are few, but sometimes they are numerous. But what do you do when you think that the situation offers no options? This is the time that you create your own. Make your creative mind work. From the most simplistic to the most complicated, entertain all ideas. Do not shoot anything down when an idea comes to your head. Sometimes the most outrageous idea could prove to be the right one in the end. You can ask a friend to help you identify options and even make more options if you encounter some difficulty, but make sure that you make the decision yourself in the end.

· Weigh the pros and cons of every option.

Assess each option by looking at the advantages and disadvantages it offers you. In this way, you get more insights about the consequences of such an option.

· Trust yourself and make that decision.

Now that you have assessed your options, it is now time to trust yourself. Remember that there are no guarantees and wrong decisions are always at hindsight. So choose… decide… believe that you are choosing the best option at this point in time.

Now that you have made a decision, be ready to face its consequences: good and bad. It may take you to a place of promise or to a land of problems. But the important thing is that you have chosen to live your life instead of remaining a bystander or a passive audience to your own life. Whether it is the right decision or not, only time can tell. But do not regret it whatever the outcome. Instead, learn from it and remember that you always have the chance to make better decisions in the future.
